Shanghai, November 28th 2018 - ICBC received the theBest Private Bank in Wealth and Society in China (Mega Bank) at The Global Wealth and Society Awards 2018. The award ceremony was held in conjunction with the Wealth and Society China 2018, at the Waldorf Astoria, Shanghai.

The London-based Global Wealth and Society Awards Programme seeks to recognise high and ultra-high net-worth individuals who use their wealth to bring about positive impacts on the society that they operate in, and the institutions that help them do so. Recipient of these awards underwent a stringent and comprehensive evaluation process, demonstrating the verve to deploy wealth in ways to bring about positive impacts on the society and at the same time make positive financial return on client investments.

ICBC is the only private bank with its own asset management to provide comprehensive service to high-net-worth clients

ICBC Private banking now has 83900 clients, total asset under management reached RMB1.46 trillion (USD210.3 billion) with growth rate as high as 133%. Setting up more than 400 private banking centres and providing service covered major cities in China, building service network in 21 countries located in Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Australia.

Through independent research and development of private banking products, ICBChas established the Manager of Managers investment management mode, through the monetary market, fixed income investment, equity investment,alternative investment, cross-border investment, absolute return, to meet all the customers demand with full span of asset allocation.

The bank introduced fiduciary service to allocate wealth on clients’ behalf clients

ICBC providedintegrated service with comprehensive investment account services, financial services, financial assets pledged proxy investment services and value-added services. At present, ICBC carte blanche has served more than 1300 high net-worth private banking clients, average managing asset reached RMB85 million (USD12.2 million).

ICBC family wealth management business designed for private banking clients with asset over RMB100 million (USD14.4 million). In accordance with clients’ requirement, designated specific charity groups as beneficiary through establishing wealth management fund in family. At the same time providing wealth inheritance, investment consulting, cross-border consulting, financial consulting, and transaction management to private banking clients.

ICBC Private Banking has invested several projects in 2017, covering infrastructure construction and other industries, completed equity projects/sub-fund investment covering medical and health, education, high-end manufacturing and other industries through the FOF parent fund. ICBC also carried out "with love" public welfare project and invited dozens of private banking clients to participate.

In 2017,ICBC raised RMB300, 000 (USD44, 000)through donations and public bidding for water heater donation projects to Sichuan poverty alleviation students, helped them out with learning and life problem should be resolved.
