Cindy Yu, executive director of Wealth and Society shares her views on wealth, society and common prosperity.

Let us give congratulations once again to all the award-winning organizations and individuals tonight. And we would like to appreciate everyone, despite the tough pandemic for being able to attend today’s dinner as scheduled. Five years ago, we started the Wealth and Society Program. We kept telling ourselves and everyone else that if wealth is not linked to social development, it then loses its most important meaning. The premise for the development of wealth is a stable and harmonious social environment.

Over the past five years, we have witnessed the positive energy that wealth brings to society. We have also seen financial institutions, enterprises and individuals making society a better place with goodwill. Tonight we recognize organizations that have excelled in the field of private wealth management, and also showcase a large number of outstanding cases of companies that take social responsibilities are committed to public welfare and giving back to society.

A river starts from a drop of water. We hope that we will adhere to our original intentions, let wealth and society advance together, and work together to build a better world. Thank you all, and we hope to see you next year.
