Crédit Agricole CIB has appointed Nicolas Vix as senior regional officer for Asia Pacific, succeeding Jean-François Deroche, who is retiring.

He reports to Jean-François Balaÿ, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB and joins Crédit Agricole CIB's Executive Committee.

Based in Hong Kong, Vix oversees the bank's franchise in the region and pursues the development of its activities serving corporate and financial institution clients, with a strong growth ambition for the region over the period 2025 to 2028, as set forth in the bank’s Strategic Plan ACT 2028.

Crédit Agricole CIB has a presence in nine Asia Pacific markets. A leader in sustainable finance, the bank offers a wide range of banking and client solutions in global markets, real asset financing, corporate and leveraged finance and transaction banking services. Leveraging its worldwide network, the bank supports its Asia Pacific clients globally, and its international clients in their business developments in the region.

Since joining the group in 1988, Vix has held a number of positions, beginning his career in Beijing with Banque Indosuez. He subsequently held a series of senior roles in Singapore and Hong Kong across the financing businesses, as well as in risk in Paris, before being appointed Senior Country Officer for China in 2019. He holds degrees in engineering (École Centrale Paris) and economics and finance (Sciences Po Paris).
