Fullerton Fund Management (Fullerton) and Da Cheng International Asset Management (DCI) have announced a partnership agreement to offer their core equity investment capabilities to investors in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Through this agreement, Fullerton and DCI will co-sponsor products based on their respective equity expertise and collaborate on the development, promotion, management
and distribution of these offerings in each other’s home markets. These strategies include the Fullerton’s Global Absolute Alpha equity strategy and Da Cheng’s Gao Xin China equity strategy. In August, Fullerton launched its Fullerton Lux Funds - China Equities, which is subadvised by Da Cheng International Asset Management.

Fullerton Fund Management is a Singapore headquartered investment specialist with over 20 years of investing experience in financial markets. Clients include government entities, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, insurance companies, private wealth and retail clients, offering investment solutions that span public and private markets.

Da Cheng International is the international platform of Da Cheng Fund Management, which is among the first 10 fund houses in China. It is also one of only four fund houses that have been granted both the onshore and offshore managers licence by China’s National Council for Social Security Fund.

Mark Yuen, chief business development officer and head of international entities at Fullerton Fund Management, said, “At Fullerton, we believe in bringing China to the world, and the world to China. We want to be a bridge - connecting investors to the heartbeat of China’s future, powered by innovation, ambition and a new definition of economic growth. Our partnership with DCI fulfils our aim by providing our investors access to Da Cheng’s deep local expertise, high conviction approach and their impressive track record of uncovering hidden gems that are not only thriving at home but also gaining global market share. The beauty of this partnership is that it also leverages DCI’s strong presence in the Hong Kong market and allows Fullerton to bring its global equity capability to new pools of investors.”

Xiao Jian, deputy CEO of Da Cheng Fund and CEO of Da Cheng International, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Fullerton Fund Management to bring their global equity expertise to our investors in Hong Kong. As home-grown managers, focused on rigorous research and alpha generation for clients, both firms share many similarities. Fullerton’s Global Absolute Alpha equity strategy embraces an unconstrained absolute return approach to investing in top growth ideas designed to achieve positive long-term returns across market conditions. This strategy nicely complements our existing funds and provides our clients with diversified exposure for long-term growth in equities.”
