Indosuez relocates advisory leadership to Asia
Indosuez Wealth Management has shifted the leadership of its global advisory and capital markets business to Singapore, reflecting Asia's growing importance within the private bank's global wealth strategy.
Indosuez, the global wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, is further strengthening its team in Asia with two key senior appointments. They underscore the bank’s ongoing commitment to offering first-tier holistic wealth solutions to its ultra and high-net worth clients across the region.
Muriel Aboud Schirmann, head of advisory and capital markets at Indosuez Wealth Management, Switzerland, will relocate from Geneva to be based in Singapore as of 1 August 2026.
The strategic relocation of the global management of Indosuez’s Advisory Solutions and Capital Markets to its Asia headquarters in Singapore reflects the private bank’s deep commitment to Asia’s unprecedented wealth creation and rapid growth.
By anchoring top-tier decision-making, market access, and tailored advisory capabilities in Asia, the centre of accelerating client demand, Indosuez is strengthening its global leadership in one of the world’s most dynamic growth regions. Crucially, this move deepens the vital nexus between Europe and Asia as clients increasingly seek sophisticated, cross-border financial solutions.
Muriel began her career at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and has over two decades of experience in financial services. She joined Indosuez in Switzerland in 2009, where she held increasingly senior investment and advisory positions leading teams in various specialisations across multiple products and asset classes. She reports into Laurent Fradin, head of wealth solutions, Switzerland for Indosuez Wealth Management.
In a complementary move to strengthen its investment management capabilities, Indosuez has appointed Louis Shen as head of discretionary portfolio management (DPM) for Asia. He joins Indosuez from Nomura, where he was leading the DPM team.
Louis’ appointment builds on Indosuez’s focus to provide tailored solutions across discretionary portfolio management, private markets and managed funds to meet the diverse needs of its clients. Elevating Indosuez’s DPM proposition is a major strategic imperative as discerning Asian clients increasingly seek institutional-grade portfolio construction and active risk management to better navigate dynamic market cycles.
In this newly established position, Louis is responsible for accelerating disciplined, performance-oriented portfolio management for clients seeking a highly structured, customised approach to managing their wealth.
Louis brings close to 20 years of financial services experience to his role, including over 13 years of experience in discretionary portfolio management at leading financial institutions including UOB Private Bank, Nomura and EFG. He reports to Su Qian, Head of Investment Management, Asia.
Continued commitment to serve the complex and evolving wealth needs of ultra- and high net-worth clients
Laurent Proutière, CEO, Asia, Indosuez Wealth Management, said: “Asia is where the world’s most dynamic and rapidly markets are today, and staying ahead of our clients' needs requires both localised expertise and cross-border decision-making."
He added, “Bringing Muriel in her senior leadership role from Switzerland to Singapore, alongside the creation of the new head of DPM role in Louis, marks a significant milestone in our ambitions. Together, these moves significantly enhance our investment management ecosystem, ensuring our clients gain immediate access to top-tier advisory, institutional discretionary solutions, and private market opportunities right here in Asia.”
As Indosuez continues to expand across Asia, these appointments reaffirm the bank’s commitment to providing holistic, client-centric solutions while deepening its role as a trusted partner for ultra and high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and professional intermediaries across the region.
