Syfe launches multi-asset income portfolio targeting payouts of up to 10%

5 min read

Syfe, the Singapore-headquartered digital wealth platform managing over SGD 20 billion ($15.6 billion) in assets across Asia Pacific, today announced the launch of Income+ Max in collaboration with key active ETF partner JP Morgan Asset Management and two other leading ETF managers.

The multi-asset strategy addresses the biggest challenges for investors today: record-low dividend yields and extreme equity concentration, compounded by intense volatility. Unmanaged portfolio drift remains a hidden risk for retail investors, as evidenced by the 2022-era 60/40 allocation that crept to a stock-heavy 73/27 split by August 2026. Syfe’s multi-asset income strategy resolves this concentration risk by combining defensive multi-asset exposure with options on equities and gold – monetising short-term volatility to generate targeted yields of 8% to 10% per annum.

Five income engines

Income+ Max allocates across three core asset sleeves while drawing from five distinct income drivers. Each sleeve earns income a different way: coupons from the bond allocation, dividends from quality large caps, and option premiums written on the tech, small-cap and gold exposures, so no single source carries the payout.

Equities (55%): Focuses on high-quality companies with strong fundamentals and lower volatility than the broader market.

Fixed Income (35%): Maintains a short-to-medium duration profile to limit interest rate sensitivity, with credit and emerging market selection underwritten by JP Morgan Asset Management.

Gold (10%): Provides a structural diversifier and store of value when stocks and bonds move in tandem.

How volatility becomes income

The strategy sells call options on a portion of its equity and gold holdings and collects the premium as income. Option premiums rise when markets are uncertain, so the more volatile the environment, the more income the strategy can harvest. That premium, combined with dividends and bond coupons, is what funds the targeted 8% to 10% payout.

Income+ Max removes the administrative complexity and cost of running a global income portfolio, with automated rebalancing and reinvesting.

The launch expands Syfe’s cash-income range, complementing the more conservative, bond-focused Income+ Preserve and Income+ Enhance portfolios.

Ritesh Ganeriwal, MD, Group Head of Investment & Advisory at Syfe, said: “Everyone’s talking about yields coming back, and bonds do pay again. But stock dividends are sitting near record lows, and chasing them means piling into the same few names as everyone else. Income+ Max goes about it differently. It earns income from market volatility itself: we write options on quality equities and gold, collect the premium and pay it out. Gold helps cushion the portfolio when markets turn, and fees are in line with passive index funds. With this launch, investors can now get cash management, bond income, multi-asset and options-based income all on Syfe.”

Ayaz Ebrahim, CEO of Singapore, South East Asia and India at JP Morgan Asset Management, said: “JP Morgan Asset Management is pleased to be a key Active ETF provider for the Syfe Income+ Max portfolio. This collaboration reflects the growing role of active ETFs in investors’ portfolios, and we look forward to leveraging our active ETF expertise to help investors pursue resilient income outcomes with transparency and accessibility.”

Income+ Max is currently being rolled out to users on the Syfe platform.
