Victory Capital expands global asset management platform with First Eagle
Victory Capital announced on 26 August 2026 that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire First Eagle Investments, thus creating a $571 billion diversified global asset manager.
As a long-standing partner of First Eagle and a long-term strategic partner and shareholder of Victory Capital, Amundi knows both companies extremely well. Amundi distributes the US and global strategies of both Victory Capital and First Eagle to its clients outside of the US. Amundi welcomes the continuation and further development of this distribution partnership following the closing of the transaction under Victory Capital's leadership.
Together, they form a compelling and highly complementary platform: the combined platform will manage approximately $571 billion in AUM across global multi-asset, equity, fixed income, and alternative credit solutions.
Valérie Baudson, CEO, Amundi said, "We warmly welcome this transformational transaction. Victory Capital and First Eagle are two excellent asset managers that we know intimately. Together, they form a compelling and highly complementary platform. As Victory Capital’s strategic shareholder and the distributor of its investment solutions outside of the US, Amundi is fully supportive of this deal and looks forward to the next chapter of this partnership."
