Waterloo launches Everstead for ultra-high-net-worth families
Waterloo Capital has launched Everstead, an integrated private wealth and family-office brand for ultra-high-net-worth families, combining investment, tax, estate and generational planning under one advisory model.
Everstead is led by Founder and Managing Partner Grayson Miller Dunaway, who recently joined Waterloo, and is based in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood.
Everstead unites three Waterloo capabilities under a single name: Waterloo Family Office, Waterloo Tax Partners and the full investment and wealth management platform of Waterloo Capital. Instead of coordinating separate advisors for investments, taxes, estate planning and family governance, Everstead clients work with one integrated team that sees the whole balance sheet.
Dunaway brings nearly 15 years of private wealth experience to the role. She previously served as a Managing Director at Oxford Financial Group, a multi-family office overseeing more than $30 billion, and held roles at Goldman Sachs and UBS. Her work centres on tax-aware planning, asset location strategy, and transitions for business owners. In addition to leading Everstead, Dunaway will help lead Waterloo's growth efforts in Atlanta.
"Over the course of our careers, we've seen a wide range of business models, offerings and cultures, and that experience led us to a key observation: client needs are continuously evolving, and the industry is struggling to keep pace," said Grayson Miller Dunaway, Founder and Managing Partner of Everstead. "That leaves a gap in the marketplace we are fully invigorated to take on: an opportunity to redefine what private wealth management and family office services should look like."
"There comes a certain inflection point where business owners and their families realise they need to level up and enhance their balance sheet. Sophistication doesn't equate to complexity, nor does simplicity for that matter. It's not black and white and is highly personalised." Dunaway continued, "We believe in purposeful diversification and customisation tied to tangible goals and outcomes, not just for the sake of it. This underscores intentionality. We are relational rather than transactional, and it shows. One of our core beliefs and differentiators is emotional intelligence, sophisticated intellectual capability without losing humanity."
"Grayson is exactly the kind of leader we built our platform to support," said John Chatmas, CEO of Waterloo Capital. "Everstead combines the depth of Waterloo's family office, tax and investment resources with a client experience designed specifically for ultra-high-net-worth families. We are proud to bring it to market under her leadership."
Everstead's services span every dimension of a family's wealth:
Family office coordination: estate, tax, philanthropic and generational planning, delivered with Waterloo Family Office.
Tax strategy: comprehensive tax strategy encompassing investment structuring, estate and wealth transfer planning, and pre and post liquidity planning by Waterloo Tax Partners
Investment intelligence: institutional portfolio management with access to public and private markets through Waterloo Capital.
Life-stage financial planning: guidance from wealth accumulation through retirement, liquidity events and legacy.
Each relationship follows Everstead's four-stage process: Discover, Align, Implement and Steward so that every decision ties back to the family's long-term goals. Everstead's guiding promise: "Build a legacy designed to endure."
